The
Board of Public Works...
The Board of Works
strives to maintain the infrastructure of the City of Frankfort
in a state of quality operations for a safe and healthy
environment for all, as well as being accountable to the
Citizens of Frankfort for financial affairs pertaining to the
City under the Boards authority.
The Board of Works is
comprised of 3 members, The Mayor and 2 members appointed by the
Mayor. The Board of Works is the Chief Administrative Body of
the City and has control of the day-to-day operations of the
Department of Building Services,
Street Department,
Parks Department,
Police Department and the
Fire Department.
The Board of Public
Works plays a significant role in maintaining the integrity and
efficiency of our City government. The Board serves as liaison
between the Mayor, the City Departments and the citizens of
Frankfort.
Meetings...
The Board of Public
Works meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM in
the Mayors Office of Old Stoney. Business pertaining to the
departments under the jurisdiction of the Board of Public Works
is conducted at these bi-weekly meetings, which are open to the
public. The Board hears all bid openings for departments and
awards the bids on the basis of best and lowest bidding.
