| Frankfort City Council
The Frankfort Charter establishes a council-manager form of
government, which vests policy authority in a volunteer city
council, and administrative authority for day-to-day operations
in an appointed, professional city manager. The Frankfort City
Council consists of a mayor and seven councilors who serve
four-year terms.

The City Council may create standing citizen advisory boards,
committees or commissions to aid the Council in the conduct of
public affairs.

City Council
meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month,
unless that date lands on a holiday, of which notification will
be given for an alternative date. Council meetings start
at 7:00pm and are held in the Council Chambers of Old Stoney,
located at 301 E. Clinton Street.
